Supporting conservation, education and volunteer activities across the U.S. and Canada.

Whole Foods Market has teamed up with The Nature Conservancy for a year-long commitment starting in April 2018. The partnership is designed to raise awareness with Whole Foods Market customers and Conservancy supporters about the importance of a healthy planet and actions people can take to make a difference. The partnership will also shine a spotlight on the Conservancy’s local conservation work in six Whole Foods Market regions. The Whole Foods regions partnering with the Conservancy include the Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountain, North Atlantic, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern Pacific.

The partnership kicked off for Earth Month with a 5% Community Giving Day benefitting the Conservancy on April 19, 2018. Conservancy staff were present at many Whole Foods locations throughout the U.S. and Canada during the day to interact with customers and share information on conservation work happening in their communities.

The partnership will focus on telling stories about the interdependent relationship between environmental stewardship and food, promote education and volunteer activities, and showcase the conservation impact.

Whole Foods Market stores have a long history of partnering with the Conservancy through regional initiatives, such as the Conservancy’s Colorado River program and oyster reef and coastal restoration work.
