TNC Action Memo - Winter 2021

As we look toward a new year, our lives may feel overwhelming at times—and a world where nature thrives can feel far away. But ideas are powerful, and so is partnership. And when the way forward seems hopeless, The Nature Conservancy can help find (and connect) the people and paths to make it possible. No matter the odds, by working together, we find a way

We help breakthroughs break through. By 2030 we’ll protect more than 10% of the world’s oceans, help 100 million people become more climate resilient, and take 650 million cars’ worth of emissions out of the air every year. We know how huge these goals are, but we also know we can achieve them, together.

Every like, share, and tweet has an impact. We thank you for your support!

BeadWORKS Kenya

What if you could change a woman’s life, build local communities, and protect wildlife just by giving a beautifully hand-crafted gift? BeadWORKS creates opportunities for pastoralist women in northern Kenya to translate their traditional skills into much-needed income. Ornaments, jewelry, bags, and other wearables are designed by local artisans through this partnership between TNC and The Northern Rangelands Trust. When women have reliable incomes of their own, communities and wildlife can thrive – together.

Earth Day 2022: We Are Nature

How we treat the natural world is how we treat ourselves. It’s time we redefine our relationship with nature. Our health is nature’s health. Nature is a part of you. It’s the air you breathe, the water you drink, the earth that grows your food. And our futures are entwined with nature’s. Our planet faces tough challenges but, together, we have the power to create a healthier future for nature and for ourselves.
