Biography
As Director of External and Government Relations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, Stephanie Pinkalla leads a team of government relations professionals who work to advance TNC’s conservation goals by leveraging and influencing policy and public funding across three states and at the federal level. She is experienced in navigating state legislative processes and supporting TNC’s coalition work around Minnesota’s dedicated environmental funds: the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment and the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
Stephanie joined The Nature Conservancy in 2017, after roles in state-level government relations, sustainability and political campaigns. She was a policy fellow at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, serves as a volunteer with the YMCA Youth in Government Program and is on the board of the Center for Youth Voice.
