Make a Difference in South Dakota

The Nature Conservancy is bringing a spirit of innovation to preserving life on Earth. In South Dakota, we’re working with diverse partners to protect land and water, provide food and water sustainably and tackle climate change. We're also working and organizing with local communities to leverage nature as a tool to build a brighter future for all South Dakotans.

A Legacy of Conservation (3:55) The Nature Conservancy has helped protect 1 million acres across South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. But we don't own a million acres. Partnerships with private landowners, state and federal governments and other nonprofits are critical to our work.

How We Work in South Dakota

We're working toward a future where people and nature thrive.
