The Nature Conservancy (TNC) announced the recent appointment of Suzan Craig Dunand as a member of its global Board of Directors.

“I am pleased to welcome Suzan Craig Dunand to our Global Board of Directors,” said TNC CEO Jennifer Morris. “Suzan's commitment to making a meaningful difference for the planet is truly inspiring and she will play a pivotal role in advancing progress toward our 2030 Goals.”

“Suzan's diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to environmental and social causes make her an invaluable addition to our Global Board,” said Board Chair Senator William Frist. “We look forward to benefiting from her insights and leadership as we continue to drive positive change around the world.”

Suzan will begin her term at The Nature Conservancy’s October board meeting later this year.

Suzan is co-founder of the Villars Institute in Switzerland, which is dedicated to advancing the transition to a net-zero, nature-positive economy through interdisciplinary research and youth engagement. A platform for systemic change, the Institute brings together experts, educators and entrepreneurs to engage young people in addressing the world's most pressing challenges.

Suzan is also the Founder and CEO of Tahi, an 800-acre living eco-lab in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Under her leadership, Tahi’s lands have been transformed into a biodiversity-rich ecosystem that supports rare and endangered birds, honeybees, native trees and thriving wetlands. Tahi is also one of the largest employers in the region and contributors to the local economy.

Suzan and her husband Marco split their time between New Zealand and Switzerland.
