Volunteer Overview

Join TNC's Nathan Herbert for a series of workdays to gather seeds from the wetland and oak restoration areas of Douglas Woods.

These seeds will be used to grow small native plants for future restoration work on site. This is a great activity for youth and families, and requires zero prior experience. You'll be walking off trail on uneven ground that may be muddy.

Dates for the workdays are:

  • Saturday, June 14
  • Saturday, August 2
  • Saturday, September 27

Additional Details

  • No experience needed
  • All tools and instructions are provided.
  • The terrain here is moderate and we will be off trail and working in potentially muddy areas.
  • Volunteers should be comfortable with moderate to strenuous physical activity including bending, digging, and handwork.
  • Please come prepared with drinking water, close-toed shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.
