Cranberry Bog Restoration Work Week

Join us for a hands-on restoration effort at the Tannersville Cranberry Bog. Volunteers will help with essential stewardship projects such as cutting back invasive species, transporting materials from the bog to the parking area, creating and spreading mulch, and other habitat-improvement tasks.

What to Expect
Extensive walking
Wet and muddy conditions
Outdoor, physical work in a beautiful natural setting
What to Bring
Sturdy boots or shoes suitable for walking on the boardwalk
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Hip waders (optional, for those who want to work directly in the bog)
Water bottle (refill water will be available)
Packed lunch for a mid-day break
Ear protection (earmuffs or foam earplugs)\*
Eye protection (sunglasses or safety goggles)\*
Thick leather work gloves\*
Change of clothes
\*Items can be provided if needed. All other equipment will be supplied.
