This preserve is home to grassy sandstone barrens with many rare plants, including rose gentian, longleaf sunflower, green pitcher plant, Harper's love-vine and Little River Canyon onion.
The site was originally protected to preserve the green pitcher plant (sarracenia oreophila).
Our strategies for this preserve include prescribed burning, exotic species control and monitoring of species.
