Overview
The Nature Conservancy's (TNC) Davis Mountains Preserve is a wildlife refuge in the highest country of the Davis Mountains in far West Texas. This sky island is a unique ecosystem harboring plants and wildlife that are seen in few, if any, other places in Texas, including ponderosa pine and quaking aspen, Montezuma quail, mountain short-horned lizards and Mexican black bears.
