Emiquon 25th Anniversary Bird Hike

Event Overview

A guided three-hour birding tour at Emiquon Preserve through a variety of habitats, from woodland to the marsh, an area usually closed to the public, watching and listening for a variety of fall migrants.

Meet up at 7 a.m. at the Public Use Area “Lakeside Observatory.” This event will occur rain or shine.

We're excited to have you join us on September 20 for a bird hike. Please arrive by 7 a.m. at the Public Use Area “Lakeside Observatory” to begin the program. Please see the map for all of the parking locations on site.

Bring optics if you have them (we’ll have a few to borrow), bug/tick spray, footwear suitable for muddy conditions and weather-appropriate clothing. This event will occur rain or shine.
