In My Backyard is a documentary series highlighting robust and innovative solutions to climate change from the most impacted communities. This series centers the joy and resilience living in frontline communities deploying these solutions across the nation.
The series journeys across the U.S., with each episode grounded in a narrative thread that begins in Chicago—the hometown of our host, Tonyisha Harris, TNC Climate and Energy Program Manager. Each episode explores a central theme—biodiversity preservation, green job creation, grassroots activism and renewable energy (seeking funding)—spotlighting how frontline communities are transforming climate challenges into opportunities to build stronger, more vibrant backyards. Through these episodes, we hope to inspire and to empower the next wave of climate advocates ready to lead change.
