Biography
Carl has worked in conservation for over 23 years in the government and not-for-profit sectors in areas as diverse as strategy, science, partnerships, visitor assets, organisational change, and technical advice.
At TNC, he works as an Advisor to our India Program where he provides a range of support services for the India team. He also holds roles as the New Zealand Director of Conservation, where he oversees a national portfolio of conservation projects, and as a Trustee on both the TNC New Zealand Trust and The Nature Conservancy (New Zealand) Boards. Prior to joining TNC Carl was the Director, Operations Planning for the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
Carl has an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Victoria University of Wellington, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science Honours (Plant Science), and a Bachelor of Science (Plant Health & Statistics) from Massey University.
He commenced working at TNC in 2018 and works from his home office in Wellington, New Zealand when he’s not able to be in India.
