Caribbean Masterclass in Session

Last October, the Caribbean Currents Masterclass Series premiered on LinkedIn, the first of several expert-led digestible knowledge-sharing sessions.

Episode #1 of the Caribbean Currents Masterclass featured Dr. Steve Schill, lead scientist for TNC Caribbean, introducing TNC’s Caribbean 30x30 Regional Geospatial Analysis, Mapping Results and Dashboard Tool. The innovative decision-support tool is designed to empower governments, policymakers and conservation leaders across the region to decide what are the most critical areas to protect to achieve their 2030 goals.

Episode #2 aired on LinkedIn on February 5, 2026 and featured Loureene Jones, climate change project manager for TNC’s Jamaica Program, sharing on the topic “Integrating Coastal Wetlands into Nationally Determined Contributions.”

Each 10-minute Masterclass offers in-depth insights, unique perspectives and focused learnings on specific topics relevant to an area of our work.

The series is another outreach strategy to position TNC Caribbean staff as thought leaders on conservation matters and increase visibility of TNC’s innovative work.
