  • F2F fundraising, also known as canvassing, is a powerful and personal way for The Nature Conservancy to connect with supporters like you. You might encounter our dedicated fundraisers (also known as canvassers) on busy streets, at events, or tabling at your local mall or grocery store. Our passionate f2f fundraisers engage in one-on-one conversations to raise awareness about our conservation efforts and the importance of recurring donations.

  • Recurring donations are crucial for our ongoing conservation efforts. By becoming a Conservation Champion with one of our fundraisers, you provide consistent support that enables us to respond swiftly to environmental challenges and implement sustainable solutions. We encourage you to chat with one of our f2f fundraisers to learn how you can become a Conservation Champion with a monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring donation. Your ongoing support is the best way to ensure your generous contributions can do the most good for nature. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for both people and nature.

  • Our f2f  fundraisers are qualified professionals who are employees of one of our trusted professional fundraising agency partners

Identification: Canvassers will always be wearing a Nature Conservancy branded lanyard and photo ID badge, clearly stating their name, the fundraising agency they work for, and our Member Care contact information on the front or back of the ID badge.

Branded Items: Look for fundraisers in Nature Conservancy vests, T-shirts, or polos shirts. They may also have additional branded items such as hats, umbrellas, water bottles, kiosks, signs/banners, and copies of our quarterly magazine. They will also offer you a branded reusable straw as a thank-you for becoming a Conservation Champion.

Materials: Fundraisers use tablets to securely collect electronic donations via debit or credit card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT) as a safe, efficient, and convenient way to give. Face-to-face fundraisers will never ask for a donation via cash or check.

  • F2F  fundraising allows us to connect with new supporters in a meaningful way. It provides an opportunity for dynamic conversations about our mission to protect the lands and waters on which all life depends. Canvassers can be found in several cities across the nation, helping us build long-term relationships with donors who are committed to making a lasting impact.

  • For your safety and the safety of our fundraisers, we do not accept cash donations. Fundraisers use tablets with Payment Compliance Industry (PCI) compliant software to securely collect payment information, which is transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Your financial data is not stored on the tablet. Once your gift is submitted and successfully processed, you will immediately receive an email from The Nature Conservancy confirming your gift.
