Volunteer Overview

Nature Engagement Leaders (NEL) are volunteers who host at least three events each year between June and November at TNC preserves. These events can range from nature walks, art‑in‑nature activities and birding to beach cleanups or, on occasion, supporting volunteer work parties. Volunteer leaders will have opportunities to create events tailored to their skills, experience and interests. NEL volunteers may lead events independently or with fellow volunteers and will report to the Washington Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager.

Current opportunities include hosting events at: Pratt Preserve at Ebey’s Landing (Whidbey Island) and/or Foulweather Bluff (Kitsap Peninsula), with additional preserves possible throughout the season.
