Help us protect Ohio's natural areas by joining us at a volunteer event at Edge of Appalachia Preserve this year. The success of our program relies on the support of volunteers, and with your help we can accomplish so much more than we could alone.
Trail Maintenance
Trail maintenance is essential in keeping preserves neat and natural so they can continue to be a source of pride for the community as well as a refuge for rare plants and animals. Volunteers can help TNC with routine trail upkeep like removing trash and debris and repairing muddy or washed-out sections of trails.
Event Dates
Saturday, September 9 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
Saturday, October 7 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
Invasive Species Management
Invasive plants threaten Ohio’s natural areas by displacing native plants, degrading wildlife habitat and increasing erosion and siltation in streams. Volunteers can help TNC remove these non-native species from preserves throughout the state.
Event Dates
Saturday, November 4 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
To RSVP or receive additional event details, email ohvolunteer@tnc.org and include the event date and location in the subject line to reserve your spot in these fun events.
Volunteer events will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
