Volunteer Overview

Mile‑a‑Minute Muster at Cove Mountain

Help us protect native habitats this summer! Join us at the Hamer Woodlands at Cove Mountain Preserve for a Mile‑a‑Minute Muster, two hands‑on volunteer days focused on removing the fast‑growing, invasive mile‑a‑minute vine. We are looking for volunteers to join us on July 15th and July 22nd.

This is a great opportunity to get outside, meet fellow nature lovers and make a real difference for the plants and wildlife that depend on this preserve. You’ll work alongside our Flagship Preserve Manager, Elizabeth Hanson, who will share tips on identifying and safely hand-pulling this aggressive invader.

No experience necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to roll up your sleeves!

What to Expect

  • Help remove invasive mile‑a‑minute vine
  • Light to moderate physical activity; all tools provided
  • A rewarding conservation experience in a beautiful setting
