Event Overview

Join The Nature Conservancy for a rewarding day of hands-on conservation at Folsom Point Preserve in Iowa's Loess Hills.

Volunteers will work alongside TNC staff and fellow conservationists to help steward one of the region's most biodiverse remnant prairies by battling invasive brush and restoring native habitat. After an afternoon of meaningful hands-on work, participants will enjoy a hike along the preserve's beautiful loop trail, taking in stunning views and the unique landscape they helped protect.

Know Before You Go

Volunteer activities take place outdoors and may include several hours of hiking and hands-on work in tall grass, uneven ground and steep terrain. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes or boots and dress for the weather.

We recommend bringing work gloves, sunscreen, insect repellent, plenty of water and your favorite pair of loppers if you have them. Most importantly, come ready to roll up your sleeves and help protect this special landscape.

All participants are required to complete a liability waiver upon arrival.
