Volunteer Overview

Celebrate Earth Day at a Rarely Open Preserve!

Join The Nature Conservancy for a special Earth Day Beach Clean‑Up at Milford Neck Preserve, a stunning coastal property that is typically closed to the public. This is a unique opportunity to experience one of Delaware’s most important natural areas while helping protect its fragile shoreline habitat.

Make a Difference for Delaware’s Coast

TNC Nature Docent and Delaware Master Naturalist Tracey Haines will guide volunteers in removing debris from the beach and surrounding dunes. Your efforts help protect migratory birds, horseshoe crabs and other wildlife that depend on this critical coastal ecosystem.

Why This Clean‑Up Matters

Milford Neck Preserve protects some of Delaware’s most ecologically significant coastal lands. By removing trash and marine debris, volunteers help improve water quality, safeguard wildlife and maintain the health of this vital shoreline.
