Event Overview

The Nature Conservancy invites novice and expert birders alike to a workshop at the Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve that will celebrate the birds of the sagebrush steppe! This family-friendly event will include an easy hike where both adults and kids will get the opportunity to see Wyoming’s birds in their natural habitat.

A free breakfast follows this early-morning walk!

Things to Know When Visiting Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve:

  • Upon arrival, please sign in at the information kiosk at the Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve entrance.
  • Any person under the age of 18 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
  • No pets are permitted on Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve, aside from licensed service animals.
  • All waste is required to be packed out.
  • Public restrooms are available at Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve.
  • We recommend bringing plenty of food and water, bear spray, rain gear, hiking boots or closed-toed shoes, sunscreen and a hat for any of our activities.
  • Weather is unpredictable at Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve. Be prepared for a wide range of conditions!
