Overview
Celebrate National Trails Day and upgrades at Uplands Farm Sanctuary, a dairy farm turned carbon-neutral preserve featuring a half-mile universal access trail connecting to 2.5 additional miles of marked trail. Uplands Farm Sanctuary offers wildflower meadows, shaded forests, bird boxes and ample opportunities to spot birds, butterflies, deer and groundhogs.
There will be a guided hike, and guests are invited to join us for a community picnic in the afternoon (bring your own picnic).
Long Island Preserve Director Kevin Munroe will answer wildlife questions and share tips on how you can attract wildlife to your own backyard!
