National Trails Day at Moss Lake

Event Overview

Celebrate National Trails Day and upgrades at the beloved Moss Lake Preserve, including a wheelchair accessible trail, boardwalk and viewing platform, and a fully accessible picnic area with an ADA-compliant picnic table that overlooks the postglacial, 15-acre bog lake designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in 1973.

  • 10-11 a.m.: Meet at the parking lot for a guided hike featuring new accessibility features at Moss Lake Preserve. Stroller, wheelchair and other assistive device users welcome.
  • 12-2:30 p.m.: Bring your own picnic and a blanket or chair to celebrate the new features at Moss Lake, and drop by The Nature Conservancy’s table to meet the steward, Alison Agresta, and to learn some interesting facts about Moss Lake.

This is an all-ages event. Please help us with our planning by pre-registering for the guided hike and/or picnic.

Entry is first-come first-served and not guaranteed with registration. In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled. Register to receive notifications and event updates.
