Event Overview

Join us for a free evening event on Wednesday, August 20th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hart Prairie Preserve for a mix of natural history, ecology, botany and photography. Guided by a naturalist, photographers Ed and Susan Kendall will join to share their knowledge of how to shoot the interesting plants and animals of Hart Prairie Preserve—including Bebb’s willows, Aspen trees and historic building exteriors. Don't forget your camera!

About Ed and Susan Kendall: Ed's photographic images have been featured on Arizona Highways Photo of the Day four times. Susan's photos were featured in Photoshop Elements Magazine twice. Numerous donations have been snapped up for charitable causes, including to save the Alpine, Arizona long-hair donkeys.

During monsoon season, in late July through August, be prepared for rain and bring the necessary equipment for inclement weather. When navigating, follow the Google Maps directions to "Hart Prairie Preserve" (there is no street address) and look for the front gate with a TNC logo on it.
