Join TNC and Intermountain Bird Observatory at the Diane Moore Nature Center

We need your help to restore riparian vegetation along the Boise River side-channel, sew native seed mix in construction areas, stabilize banks, repair fencing, place large wood (fish habitat) in the side-channel and build trails!

Dates:

  • Saturday, April 11th
  • Saturday, April 18th

Please note:

  • Terrain is uneven, and depending on the weather, the conditions could be muddy or dry. 
  • No experience needed.
  • There is POISON IVY on the site. 
  • All ages are welcome. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring/wear:

  • Dress in appropriate layers to stay warm and dry in rain or shine.
  • Long pants and shirt.
  • We will have limited tools, so if you have garden tools (shovels, trowels, rakes) please bring them! Please label them with your name. 
  • Water bottle. We will have water jugs to refill from.
  • We will have some snacks available, but please feel free to bring your own. 
  • Optional: Waterproof boots and/or waders.
