Biography

Tegan May is the North America Regenerative Grazing Lands project manager, providing technical expertise and project management leadership to the North America Agriculture program.

She joined The Nature Conservancy’s Colorado program in 2017 to manage its stewardship intern program. Since then, Tegan has worked on preserve management, building partnerships with researchers, and using technology and tools to improve grassland management. Since joining the RGL team in 2021, she has managed a range of projects and research partnerships—including virtual fence work—and advises TNC and external partners on virtual fencing efforts.

Before joining TNC, Tegan worked in conservation for more than 12 years in Australia, Canada, and the U.S. She holds a B.S. in marine science and a M.S. in conservation and wildlife science from Murdoch University, Australia. Tegan currently lives in Lander, Wyoming, and can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband, two young sons, and dogs.
