Biography

Suzan Craig, an ecopreneur, has championed ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions and sustainable business practices in New Zealand for over two decades. She founded TAHI based on a pioneering model of strategic nature restoration that combines science-based, field-tested approaches to transform degraded landscapes into thriving ecosystems.

In 2022, Suzan co-founded the Villars Institute, a Swiss nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing the transition to a net-zero and nature-positive economy through interdisciplinary research, intergenerational collaboration and systems leadership. The Villars Institute collaborates closely with experts, educators, world governing bodies and entrepreneurs to drive change, accelerate knowledge development and engage young people in addressing the world's most pressing challenges.

Additionally, Suzan is involved in spearheading a nature-based investment platform, Silvania, to help preserve and restore nature and biodiversity worldwide. This initiative combines leading science, technology and business solutions to scale ecological restoration and protection, benefitting biodiversity and local communities.
