Sarah has been the Executive Director of the Iowa Chapter since 2020. Prior to this she worked for The Nature Conservancy in California and Idaho.
Driven by her commitment to diversity – diversity of people, values, experiences and place – Sarah has maintained leadership roles that span cultures, regions, and economic markets. She’s partnered with farmers to develop programs in the Midwest, managed programs in the rural West, investigated and designed systems to unite global teams, developed fundraising markets, established impactful relationships with global philanthropists, and successfully led a $34 million fundraising campaign during the start-up of a world-class nature preserve that is engineering new standards for conservation data and information sharing.
Sarah has a Master of Arts in Philanthropy and Organizational Development and a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, with a concentration in Environmental Ethics, and Minors in Biology and Environmental Studies.
