Biography
Monica is the Finance Modeling Analyst for NatureVest’s Sustainable Debt Team, as well as the Global Protect Oceans, Land and Water team. She focuses on modeling and developing deck materials for Sovereign Green (Blue) Bonds, Debt Refinance, Risk Insurance, Project Finance for Permanence and more. She enjoys modeling innovative Sustainable Finance Mechanisms that will catalyze conservation initiatives worldwide.
Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy in 2019, she worked for KM Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank in Mexico, and at KPMG’s Latin America Transfer Pricing Division.
Monica holds a BA in Finance from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, a Master’s in Data Science from the University of Guadalajara and a Diploma in Impact Investing from Iberoamerican University. She is currently pursuing the CFA® Designation (Completed Level I in 2019).
In her free time, she loves cycling and playing with her dogs.
