Biography

Liz Forsburg Pardi is The Nature Conservancy's California Policy Director overseeing policy engagements and directing strategies on public policy, legislation and funding issues. She joined TNC in 2005, leading the organization’s outreach on forest and agricultural policy in Washington, D.C. She brings more than 18 years of experience advancing policy change as well as extensive leadership on public funding and conservation ballot initiatives. Liz was appointed by Governor Newsom to the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection in 2021. Before coming to TNC, she held positions at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the Congressional Budget Office. Liz completed her Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley, focused on natural resource economics and policy.
