Leah Carriere

Leah supports debt-conversions in Small Island Developing States and coastal countries to provide funding for marine conservation and climate change adaptation activities. Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, Leah worked with the international travel and tourism industry to develop and implement a range of global sustainability initiatives, including destination-based travel philanthropy mechanisms in St. Kitts and Nevis, Samoa, and Chile, and carbon offset programs for tourism enterprises. Leah holds a MA in Global Environmental Policy from American University and a BA in Anthropology and Political Science from Hofstra University.
