Biography
Kainan Miranda leads efforts to further conservation policies through direct interaction with elected officials, government agencies and other stakeholders. Kainan drives collaborative action to amplify nature’s voice, build momentum and foster collective action to achieve TNC’s strategic conservation priorities and align with what’s best for Hawaiʻi and its people.
Kainan previously served in Washington, D.C. as senior policy advisor to Hawai‘i Congressman Ed Case, where he built a proven track record of success in moving conservation policy forward at the federal level. He grew up in Waimea town on Hawaiʻi Island and is a graduate of Pitzer College. Kainan returned to Hawai‘i in 2024 and serves in numerous community roles and boards locally to build partnerships for a better Hawaiʻi.
