Jonathan Peacey is Senior Conservation Advisor to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Asia Pacific Fisheries program. Previously, he was the New Zealand Country Director.
Jonathan joined TNC in 2018, bringing with him a long-term commitment to conservation and his ability to work effectively with diverse groups to create concrete steps toward more sustainable use of natural resources.
Jonathan has worked in New Zealand, the Pacific and the UK, in a wide range of senior management roles in natural resource conservation with governments and industries as well as with Conservation International and the Marine Stewardship Council. He has successfully led small and large teams, including a 120-person multi-disciplinary Fisheries Operations Group responsible for operational management of all New Zealand marine fisheries and some freshwater fisheries.
