Recovering the vegetation that once covered the Salvadoran hills and conserving standing forests is vital to strengthening the country’s economy. Environmental restoration guarantees the water that agriculture and industries require and can be a source of income for farmers and producers. Models of restoration-based income have strong potential for replication.
