Overview
The Nature Conservancy in West Virginia invites you to join us for a guided public hike at the beautiful Yankauer Preserve in Berkeley County. This 100+ acre preserve features gently rolling former farmland returning to forest, red cedar glades and high limestone bluffs overlooking the Potomac River—a landscape rich with more than 100 plant species, abundant spring wildflowers and exceptional birdlife. With over two miles of well‑marked trails winding through diverse habitats, Yankauer is the perfect place for families, seasoned hikers and curious nature lovers alike to explore, learn and reconnect with the outdoors. Come experience one of the Eastern Panhandle’s most cherished natural spaces and enjoy a day immersed in the beauty and quiet magic of West Virginia’s forests.

Registration for this event will open on 4/23.
We will be limiting the number of participants on this hike to 20. If your plans change, and you are no longer able to make it, please let us know so that we can open your spot to the next person in line. Please register by 5/23 so that we can plan accordingly.
