In partnership with the LOR Foundation, TNC is hosting a series of native seed workshops! There are limited spaces for each free community workshop, so make sure to RSVP.

Workshop 2: Native Seed Germination Workshop

Please join us for a TNC and LOR community workshop where we will learn about native plants seed dormancy and germination through an interactive, hands-on experience at TNC’s native plant nursery at Red Canyon Ranch. Participants will first be introduced to the seed dormancy protocols that have been established through extensive research by the TNC science team. After the presentation, you'll get your hands dirty planting native seeds in nursery containers and leave with the practical skills needed to start and grow your own native plants at home.

Cost: Free and open to all community members, this workshop will be capped at 15 due to supplies and greenhouse space.

Where: The production greenhouse at TNC’s Red Canyon Ranch, 254 Red Canyon Rd.

When: March 14th, 9 - 11 a.m.

You must RSVP If you would like to attend, due to limited supplies. RSVP to shannon.kelly@tnc.org to secure your spot and receive any additional information prior to the event.

  • Native Plant Field Day: This is a unique opportunity to learn about the field preparation and care for growing native species while also contributing your time and effort to increase the native seed supply in WY.
  • Native Seed Harvesting Workshop: We invite you to come help us harvest native seeds at TNC’s native seed nursery!

Information will be added here as dates and locations are confirmed. Workshops will go into Fall 2026.
