Event Overview

In partnership with the LOR Foundation, TNC  is hosting a series of native seed workshops! There are limited spaces for each free community workshop, so make sure to RSVP.

Workshop 1: Seed Cleaning on November 8th

What: Please join this community workshop, where you will get hands-on experience in how we collect, dry, clean, and store native seeds. This is an opportunity to learn and ask questions to the TNC native plant scientists about the work they are doing with native plants in WY. You’ll walk away with a collection of native seeds and the knowledge and techniques on how to sustainably harvest, clean and store your very own!

When: November 8th from 9:00-11:00 am

Where: Lander Library Conference Rooms A &B (Fremont County Public Library: 200 Amoretti St, Lander, WY 82520)

RSVP: Free and open to all! If you would like to attend, please send an RSVP to shannon.kelly @tnc.org before November 5th to secure your spot and receive any additional workshop updates.

Upcoming Workshops

  • Native Seed Germination: Participants will be introduced to the seed dormancy protocols that have been established through extensive research by the TNC science team and then will have the opportunity to plant native seeds in containers for the nursery
  • Native Plant Field Day: This is a unique opportunity to learn about the field preparation and care for growing native species while also contributing your time and effort to increase the native seed supply in WY.
  • Native Seed Harvesting Workshop: We invite you to come help us harvest native seeds at TNC’s native seed nursery!

Information will be added here as dates and locations are confirmed. Workshops will go into Fall 2026.
