Event Overview

The Nature Conservancy invites you to lace up your hiking boots and join neighbors of all ages for our annual guided hike to the summit of Heart Mountain! Enjoy panoramic views, spring wildflowers and wildlife watching on this strenuous yet fun eight-mile round-trip hike.

Registration is not required—just show up ready to hike! Find directions for the meet-up spot here.

Visiting Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve:

  • Upon arrival, please sign in at the information kiosk at the Heart Mountain Preserve entrance.
  • Any person under the age of 18 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
  • No pets are permitted on Heart Mountain Preserve, aside from licensed service animals.
  • All waste is required to be packed out.
  • Public restrooms are available at Heart Mountain Preserve.
  • We recommend bringing plenty of food and water, bear spray, rain gear, hiking boots or close-toed shoes, sunscreen and a hat for any of our activities.
  • Weather is unpredictable at Heart Mountain Preserve. Be prepared for a wide range of conditions!
