Overview
As a sister event to our annual OktoberForest Fest, the Taste of Virginia Tap Takeover on October 2nd is bringing our four OktoberForest beers brewed with wild ingredients closer to you! What started as a crazy idea—can we brew beer with longleaf pine?—has become an ever-growing celebration of all that Virginia’s lands and waters have to offer.
Organized by The Nature Conservancy, local businesses will be serving up the beers on October 2nd. Join us at a location near you and sample the 2024 Virginia Collection crafted with sassafras, longleaf pine, red spruce and eelgrass – a unique collaboration between TNC and four Virginia brewers, including Fine Creek Brewing, Väsen Brewing Company, Upweller Beer Co. and Sweetbay Brewing. Locations for the Taste of Virginia event is as follows:
- Charlottesville – Beer Run – 11:00 a.m.
- Richmond – Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint – 5:00 p.m.
- Norfolk – The Birch Bar – 4:30 p.m.
- Alexandria – Evening Star Café – 5:00 p.m.
- Washington, DC – Andy’s Pizza, NOMA – 5:00 p.m.
- Norton – Lincoln Road Coffee Lounge – 5:00 p.m.
- Abingdon – Sweetbay Brewing Company – TBA
No registration required. Beer will be on tap until it runs out!
