The Nature Conservancy's (TNC) Lennox Foundation Southmost Preserve is located in the southernmost part of Texas and protects one of the few remaining stands of native Mexican sabal palm forest in the United States. Situated along the Rio Grande in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, one of the most biodiverse regions in the country, the 1,016-acre preserve provides habitat for a remarkable diversity of wildlife, including migratory birds, ocelots, Texas tortoises and many other native species.
