Yeehaw! Join The Nature Conservancy for a free celebration of Pennsylvania’s largest native fruit at the Pawpaw Yeehaw Festival. Discover the delicious pawpaw, pick your own fruit to take home and learn how conservation efforts at the Hamer Woodlands at Cove Mountain Preserve help this unique native species thrive.

Enjoy a fun-filled morning of nature, community and pawpaw-themed activities for all ages. Stop by anytime during the event to enjoy food, fun, hands-on activities and opportunities to connect with nature.

  • Food truck offerings available for purchase
  • Learn about conservation efforts that support native pawpaw populations
  • Meet fellow nature enthusiasts and celebrate the pawpaw harvest season

Guided Hikes Update:

 We're thrilled by the interest in our guided hikes! At this time, all hike spots have been filled. We are exploring the possibility of adding additional hike times and will share updates if more openings become available. In the meantime, you're welcome to attend the event as a Pawpaw Pal and enjoy the many other activities planned for the day!

Not hiking? No problem! Join us as a Pawpaw Pal to enjoy self‑guided family fun, pawpaw picking and interactive learning throughout the preserve. TNC and partner organizations will host tables featuring games, wildlife education and more.
