National Trails Day at McCabe Preserve

Celebrate National Trails Day with us at the Edward H. McCabe Nature Preserve! Enjoy a first look at the new universal access trail improvements along the scenic Bennett’s Walk Trail and spend a summer morning exploring one of Delaware’s most beautiful natural areas.

This family‑friendly event offers two ways to arrive, making the adventure part of the fun:

🚣 Arrive by Boat: Paddle in along the peaceful Broadkill River. Put in and take out at Milton Memorial Park for a memorable water‑to‑trail experience.

🚶 Arrive by Foot: Prefer solid ground? Walk in from the preserve’s parking lot and enjoy a relaxed stroll through forests and marsh habitat.

Once you’re here, explore the updated trail, meet fellow nature lovers and learn how these trail improvements will make the preserve more accessible to everyone.
