Overview
Join TNC and Friends of the Sands on Saturday, October 24, for a moonlight evening hike at Conrad Station Savanna in Newton County.
We will start our walk on the Conrad trail in the fading light of the day, stopping to talk about the history of Conrad, and finish in the early part of the night under the glow of a day-before-full moon.
The group will be walking along a mowed 1.6-mile trail, with sections of uneven ground. The group may encounter mosquitoes as well as ticks. Feel free to bring a flashlight for the last part of the trail, should the moon decide not to join us.
