Overview
Earth Day Hike at Cove Mountain
Celebrate Earth Day with an unforgettable morning on the mountain! Join our Nature Docent, Hannah Hartman, for a guided Earth Day Bird Hike at the Hamer Woodlands at Cove Mountain Preserve. We’ll welcome the season together by spotting early spring migrants and taking in one of the most scenic overlooks in the region.
This is the perfect way to enjoy Earth Day—fresh air, great company and the chance to see who’s stopping by Cove Mountain during the spring migration.
🐦 What to Expect
We’ll begin our hike at 8:00 a.m. and make our way up the mountain along a trail that’s somewhat difficult, with rocky terrain and a few steep sections. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with wide‑open views and opportunities to spot early‑season bird species passing through the Susquehanna River corridor.
Whether you’re an experienced birder or brand new to the hobby, this guided hike is a fun and supportive way to learn, explore and celebrate nature on Earth Day.
