Nature Writing Workshop
August 1st | 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Join us at Mashomack for a morning of immersive nature writing led by special guest Maryann Calendrille. An educator, published writer and editor, Maryann has been a passionate environmentalist since planting zinnia seeds in a pint-sized milk carton in elementary school. She brings her love of the natural world to this special opportunity at the preserve.
During this 2.5-hour workshop, participants will develop foundational skills for translating nature writing in a time of climate change into meaningful stories for the public. Together, we will explore a variety of works on the theme and spend time observing, writing and sharing work created in the field.
Light refreshments will be provided.
