Hart Prairie Preserve Aspen Walk

Event Overview

Join us on September 30th at Hart Prairie Preserve to learn about all things aspen conservation while enjoying the fall colors. TNC Arizona’s Forest Ecologist Travis Wooley will lead the walk and discuss some of the work being done throughout Northern Arizona on the topic of aspen research and restoration.

The walk is free and for learners of all ages and experience levels. It will be about 1.25 miles on mostly flat terrain through a few of the aspen groves around the preserve.

Registration is required. Sign up here or below before attending. Note: This is a guided walk limited to the nature trail, and members of the public will not have access to the historic buildings in the preserve.

In consideration of our sensitive wildlife habitats, we ask all visitors and guests to observe the following regulations:

  • All visitors must remain on established trails. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
  • Dogs, horses and other domestic animals are not permitted, except service animals.
  • Firearms, radios, tape players or electronic calling devices, bicycles, motorized vehicles, drones or other unmanned aerial vehicles and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
  • No hunting, fishing, picnicking, camping or creating a fire.
  • Do not feed or disturb wildlife or damage or remove any plants, animals, wood, minerals or artifacts; collecting of any kind is prohibited.
