Biography

Trevor Taylor provides leadership and strategic direction for conservation and science staff across Hawaiʻi and Palmyra Atoll. He oversees all conservation and science projects and initiatives, maximizing impact to protect and enhance Hawaiʻi and Palmyra’s natural heritage, in collaboration with Hawaiian and local communities. Taylor has more than 30 years of experience managing natural resources and stewardship programs in Oregon, where he established and maintained meaningful partnerships with tribes, federal and state agencies, nonprofit organizations, universities, local communities and other stakeholders to care for natural areas and resources.

“I have tremendous gratitude that I am able to serve alongside the incredible, inspirational staff at TNC as we work together, with local and Indigenous partners, tackling some of Hawaiʻi and Palmyraʻs most important conservation challenges,” he says.
