Biography
Tom Neises is The Nature Conservancy’s Chief Development Officer. He has been with The Nature Conservancy since 2000, when he joined the Illinois Chapter. In that time and in his work prior to joining TNC, Tom has worked in all facets of fundraising from gift planning to principal gifts fundraising to capital campaign development and execution. Tom has expertise in creating complex gift structures and partnering with philanthropists to help them realize their desired outcomes through the integration of philanthropy into their overall financial, tax and family situation.
Tom was instrumental in TNC's historic Our World campaign that raised more than $8 billion. He oversees Development and Membership.
Prior to joining TNC, Tom worked in fundraising at a large social service agency in Chicago and as a senior account executive at SPSS Statistical Software. He holds a law degree from DePaul University.
