Stuart Brown is a retired Director at his family's distilling business, Brown-Forman Corporation, the Investment Manager at Typha Partners, LLC and Director & Treasurer at W. L. Lyons Brown Charitable Foundation. Stuart is a graduate of the University of Georgia and received his MBA from Vanderbilt University.
Stuart previously served as Chair of The Nature Conservancy’s Trustee Council as well as the Chair of the TNC Colorado Trustee Board. In addition to Colorado, he and his wife Joanna have been conservation partners with The Nature Conservancy in Kentucky, Alaska, Massachusetts, the Caribbean and Africa. Joanna is a member of the TNC Africa Council and manages BEADWorks Kenya for TNC's partner The Northern Rangelands Trust.
Originally from Louisville, KY, Stuart has lived in Telluride, CO for the past 26 years where he enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, fly fishing, river rafting, camping and basically anything that involves getting outside in beautiful Colorado.
