Sarah Bad Warrior-Vrooman

Sarah Bad Warrior-Vrooman is a Mnicoujou and Itazipco Lakota from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Sarah’s position at TNC is the Northern Great Plains Tribal Partnership Director. She is married with four children, one grandson and one granddaughter. Sarah resides on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.

Sarah’s background is in Tribal education. Sarah’s previous professional roles include education director for the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe and the director of Wokini and Tribal relations at South Dakota State University. Sarah is currently enrolled in the Indigenous Conservation Collaboration Program at Arizona State University.
