Biography
Lee Davis is the Public Lands Policy Specialist for the Sagebrush Sea Program, one of the Western U.S. and Canada Division’s Priorities connecting TNC’s people, projects and partnerships to conserve sagebrush ecosystems and western rangelands.
Lee works to connect on-the-ground needs to regional and national policy solutions that help meet conservation goals for people and nature in support of the program’s focus on upland and aquatic restoration, large landscape protection and improved management solutions.
Prior to joining TNC, Lee worked as a habitat specialist for the Nevada Department of Wildlife, ran monitoring programs on USFS and BLM lands and worked on diverse conservation projects in the western U.S. ranging from complex water buy-back programs to habitat conservation research. Lee holds a master's in conservation biology from SUNY-ESF and a bachelor’s in horticulture from NC State University.
